I went to my local corporate store at lunch time to play with the Nexus in person. It was a huge let down and I don't think it was the phone's fault for the most part.
Of course they had the huge retractor cord glued to the back of the phone. That is no surprise really, but they also had a zip tie going all the way around the screen (holding down the down volume rocker) and back to the back. It felt like trying on shoes with a rock in the toe. There were a few things that seemed a little funny about the phone so I decided to restart it. It was just acting funny. Well, I didn't realize that the down button was being pressed by the zip tie and it booted into recovery or whatever. I couldn't seem to get it out of that menu and decided my lunch break was pretty much over so I'd better go.
My biggest question is how likely is a Verizon employee going to be to let me play with the Nexus without all of that crap on it before I buy? I just want to put it in my pocket and sit down, and feel the real weight of it in my hand. Am I going to have much problem with that?
