VZW will slow your data - document inside

So after poking around my acct, I found this document.
Supposedy if you added a data plan on/after Feb 3, 2011 VZW will slow your data speeds if you use too much. lol

Why Feb 3, 2011? Has anyone had this happen?

There have been many reports of Verizon throttling data and even nasty calls for large amounts of tethering via unofficial apps but this is the first time I have seen it in writing. Maybe Feb.3, 2011 was when one of those little noticed changes in Terms of Service occurred. Who knows. I guess I need to poke around my account more often.

I think limited data and throttling is ridiculous. With apps like Netflix streaming video, 2GBs is hardly anything.

I haven't seen this before. I was actually going to start a thread because once I hit my 2Gb this month, my connection started to slow down. I have had my plan for years now.

THIS IS BS!!!!!!

how do u know if u r in the 5%? there is no transparency...except until they throttle u back!!!

When I called them to complain about tiered data the csr told me only 5% use more than 2gb.

That's probably because a great many people who stream, or do lots of downloads use wifi because it's faster.

I'm on wifi most of the time. The most I've used on Verizon's network in a month was 2GB.

I've read somewhere that 95% of the people on V use less than 2gb. That is one argument that V used when they created the 2gb tier. So many people on this forum would fall into the 5% bucket by the looks of things.
