Has any leaker recived the OTA update? I have 2.1 non-rooted. I hope someday to have a rooted version. My current problem I have is I cant display JPG files from email or from certain apps

You cant ACTUALLY conduct a test using a LAB such as you just explained. They would more likely push it out to a few users actual phones to get true bug reports from people who are using the phone as the customers will.

VZW makes their employees use their phones so that they're familiar with them. One rep told me they get a new phone every 30 days.

They likely gave the update to a wide cross-section of their users. You don't have to be a "techy" or "geek" to do this. Just report what you run into. They do NOT have to try and figure it out.

You know what I meant... they're still test phones... once the OTA was pushed out, they were probably just given a new phone with 1.5 on it... Or, they're now testing another phone as their personal phone...

No, and none will. Those that say the got the OTA update while on a version of the leak are lying. If you have a previous leaked version, you might as well go to v3 and have as close to the official as possible. It fixes pretty much all the bugs from the previous two leaks, including the one you mentioned.

Ok to clear up if leak will get the OTA the answer is no. I am on v3 leak. I just got a text message from verizon saying that the OTA was pushed to my phone and gave me update instructions. My phone does not show that I got the OTA.

I got an email from Verizon saying the same thing. Sort of got my hopes up, then when I actually read the email it said the update was already sent to my phone.

Either way, even with this v3 leak I have or if I had the official OTA from Verizon, I've experienced and heard nothing but negativity about the 2.1 update. Time to root it seems.

so even though we aren't getting the official 2.1 will we be able to get the next major system update say 2.2 or 3.0?
