Just waiting patiently for 2.2 to be available for the rooted HTC Aria! Anyone hear anything new in terms of releases?

You can have your choice between a pure Android 2.2 ROM (CM 6.1) or rooted version of Froyo 2.2 with HTC Sense (Liberated FR00x).
Personally I have been using CM 6.x and love it. I played around with the Froyo 2.2 Sense version when it was posted Sunday afternoon, but I personally won't be going back to HTC Sense on the Aria.

Tom, updated to CM6 RC Liberty earlier today, and it is awesome!!! The only thing that I am having trouble with is that I lost all of my contacts! They were on the SIM card, not the phone or SD card. Are you aware of any steps in the flash process that inadvertently delete the SIM card info? When I first booted up after flashing, the SIM card was locked, there was no carrier voicemail number, and of course, no contacts!
Is there anything in the clockworkmod or the HTC boot that deletes the user data on the SIM?
This was answered on your post over in XDA-Developers. CM6 for the Aria cannot read the Contacts off of the SIM card, that is why your contacts 'appear' to be missing. They are still on your SIM card.
What you can do is reload a backup of your Sense ROM and sync the SIM contacts to your Google account and then reinstall CM6.
I have all of my contacts synced to my corporate Exchange server, so that is how I restore my contacts after flashing new ROMs.

Thanks Tom! I feel much better now! I will put my SIM card back into my old phone and do it that way rather than unload/reload CM6.
