I just ordered the HTC Incredible from Verizon. Now the waiting begins. Am a Nokia 5800 phone convert from T-Mobile. Been a Nokia user for a long time, but they seem to be going nowhere.

And concerning T-Mobile I barely have 1 bars with T-Mobile at my home and I'm cell phone only so thought I would give Verizon a try. Not a big fan of AT&T in this area.

Anyway, looking to learn a lot about Android here on the forums.

Thanks, I was excited when I looked around and found the model specific forums.

I ordered the Incredible online since my trip to the Verizon store was disappointing for both me and my wife. She wanted the Casio "camera" phone model and the store hadn't had them in the store for about four months. And the HTC was backordered through the store for 4 weeks. Ordering online my wife's phone was shipped same day. No word on the Incredible, yet.
 
Well, the thing about buying online is that you don't have to pay the rebate money upfront, which you do in the stores. 100.00. I find that stupid. It's a de-motivator for going to the stores to buy. Don't ask me why they do it. You'll like the Inc. Great phone.

I called VZ yesterday to confirm the ship date of my DINC. They said it will ship on 8/3. That's 9 days from order. The VZ store said it would take them 4 weeks to get me the phone. 9 days is long time, but shorter than 4 weeks :)

I'm psyched. I d/l'ed the online user manual from HTC today and am going through it now.
 
Happy day! Verizon "lied". My DINC arrived yesterday instead of next week. Been playing with it. Will now jump to the model forms for some additional guidance.
