"wakeup" the XE

hi all,
is there any other ways that we could 'wakeup' the XE (from 'sleep' mode) without using the power button? or any apps that could help?

I would like to know this also.I have tried to build a tasker profile that wakes the phone and shows the time when the accelerometer picks up movement between certain times but to no joy. The only way I've found is by plugging it into power.

But I still can't wake the screen without pressing any buttons, ie using just movement can I?

Why? Your phone would wake every time you moved it.that would soon kill the battery.

Obviously the certain times would be between going to bed and getting up. Therefore phone is just sitting still on bed side table. I wasn't to be able to check time on phone just by puffing it up of I wake in the night, yes I could just press the power button but I just want to take advantage of tasker. I also don't like to leave phone on charger all night so don't want to leave the desk clock on.
