Help Wallpaper Dimension Question

I've tried several personal wallpaper sizes, but the pictures all end up being zoomed in and looking very grainy.

No matter what dimensions I make the pictures, it always makes me use that box to crop.

Ive tried that app Wallpaper Set and Save, but it ends up doing the same thing.

Any ideas on what the issue is or what the exact dimensions are?

*I am on a rooted rom if that makes a difference*

640 x 480 pixels

It has to be 2x the actual width of the screen

It still zooms in on the picture even tho I have it at 640 x 480

I want to have the picture as is, with the phone upright and not on its side

May have to consider reflashing the rom just incase I did something wrong...

Even with the correct ratio the cropping box will appear smaller than your image; are you making sure to expand the cropping box to the full 640 x 480 pixels?

Yea I'm expanding it, but it still zooms in. I'll just keep playing around with it and if I can't get it, I'll just use a colored background instead of a photo
