wallpaper image grid 4.1.2

It may seem like a silly thing to complain about, but is there any way of getting rid of that annoying grid that pops up when you're trying to select a wallpaper? I want to be able to use a whole image, not just a part of one. Running Android 4.1.2 on Samsung Galaxy SII (i9100) if that makes a difference. Also, apologies if this has been answered already, feel free to direct me to the appropriate thread :)

I don't think you can. The Gid appears because the device can only show a certain part of the picture due to resolution values. Unlike older phones where you can select the entire picture even if it doesn't fit the screen and you'll just get warped wallpapers or ones with black bars on the sides, Android crops the wallpaper to put it on the screen.
