Help Wallpaper woes

bc_chick

Lurker
I have searched all over for a solution to my problem but can't seem to find one.

Here is the wallpaper I want on my desire:

When I go to set as wallpaper, this is all that I am able to do:

and it looks like this on my homescreen:

I have searched all forums and threads and resized the picture to all the different dimensions listed and still nothing. Annoying part is, if in widget locker I select that image as my wallpaper, it doesn't crop it and it looks fantastic

Can anyone please help me?

Can't see those either.

In Dropbox you have to make sure the pictures are in the Public folder. Go in to the Public folder right click on the picture and select Copy Public Link and hit Copy to Clipboard in the pop up.

When you come back here to post it, click Insert Image and paste the link in there.

Done ;) Ty. New to dropbox so didn't realize I needed to do that :o

Sorry, not done yet.

Have a look at this guide for getting the public link.

If you've got the link already just paste it you're next post.

Have you tried using something like this from the market " wallpaper wizardrii "
I believe it can size wallpapers without needing to crop...

Ok. They should work now. Sorry for all the trouble with this.
You have a portrait sized picture (480x800) which matches the size of your phone's screen but the actual wallpaper dimension on the phone is 960x800 which is landscape sized. That's why the crop is that size when you go to set it as your wallpaper.

Anyway, there is a workaround using the MultiPicture Live Wallpaper app. I tried it on my phone:

In MultiPicture you can set different wallpapers for each homescreen but in your case you only want this one picture so you set it as the wallpaper for Screen 3, for example. Then in Launcher Pro preferences go to Appearance Settings and check Disable Wallpaper Scrolling.

nice pic sak01, and sorry to be a pain:p: can i ask what widgets you're using?
[the plaintext battery one, the weather one, and the date/time one?]

Props to bc_chick for the pic.

Weather = Snowstorm with the 4x2_gray_custom_hd skin and transparent background.

Date/time = Make Your Clock widget. But it's custom made and the Share feature isn't working in the app yet so I don't know how to get it to you. You'll have to attempt to copy it.

There isn't any battery widget. If you're referring to the 'TWELVE', that's the Hours of the clock widget in text format.

...but BattStatt will give you the battery percentage in text.
