Okay so i didnt want to start a whole thread but i couldnt find what im looking for lol:o I want to use a picture for my wallpaper but I dont like how it zooms and blows the picture up. I wanna know what the size is of the stock wallpapers is, to resize the picture, and where, if I can, would i put the picture in root explorer so that the phone sees it as a walpaper and not a picture from the gallery? sorry for the long post

What i've done, and by far is the best way to get high rez photos as backgrounds, is find the image online. I have a pretty cool SRH spade logo as my BG, but whenever i downloaded it, i had to resize it. So I opened the link in a new window, held the screen for a second, then click add as wallpaper. High Rez, without having to resize :)

Im sure theres a more technical way, but this works for me :P
 
The screen resoloution is 800 x 480 pixels so if u want u could go online and go to one of them online picture resizer and change the picture to 800 x 400 or make an account with zedge and upload your pic and make it private so only you have access to it and then download to your phone and zedge automatically resizes it for you.
 
Heres the way Ive done it before. Open paint on your computer, and make the paper huge and alot bigger then the picture and fill it black. Then paste the picture in the center of the black back ground. Then transfer it to your phone and youll be able to just select the picture and not the back ground and it will zoom but will fit perfectly.

if you mean the default download folder, it is locate in sd > download .

But if you're talking about transferring from the PC to the phone, you get the choice in where to move the files.

i mean like the stock walpapers the ones that came with the phone? where is there file location?
 
:cool::DSo I am one happy camper lol. I found the wallpapers in the LGHome.apk and in Root Explorer I "extracted all" it moved an extracted copy to /sdcard/SpeedSoftware/Extracted in there i went into the file now just LGHome. In the file i went to res then to drawable-hdpi and i put the photo i wanted and just replaced an existing wallpaper(renaming the picture exactly) and i did the same for the "small" one too. Then I zipped it up and just moved the zipped file to system/app/ and replaced the LGHome.apk by deleting the LGHome.apk and then renaming the LGHome.apk.zip to LGHome.apk exactly and it installed it again, you'll know you did it right if the little lghome icon is there, and the picture was in the wallpapers :)
****IF YOU DON'T DO IT CORRECTLY YOU WONT BE ABLE TO GET HOME*****
