Want a faster Note II?

So I was messing around with my note II and Nova Launcher the other day when I realised how much faster I could make my Note II. If you want to do the same follow these instructions:
First off go into settings>developer>window animation scale and put everything To off.
Now go and download Nova Launcher from the PlayStore. Then go into Nova settings>look and feel. And change "scroll speed" "animation speed" TO "Faster than light. This totally disregards animations. And You will see the difference. It may be to fast for some people and some may prefer there animations. But this still makes the Note II incredibly fast. Enjoy

I use Holo HD launcher. Your suggestion really works! Make the Touchwiz settings and then , in Launcher settings > Desktop settings set scrolling speed to 100% and it flies!

Maybe too quick.....

Yeah for some it is uncontrollably quick. I have had to turn mine down a bit in fact. Cool to show off though

Forgive the novice question, but what does one miss when animations are disabled. What exactly ARE they on phone?

Disabling animations makes the device overall faster/snappier and you'll more likely prefer not having animations enabled because it makes the device feel faster in my opinion. Animations are the effects in the gui. fade in/out, slide in/out, etc

I hate animations, I always turn them off. Why have a quad core and 2 gig of ram and make everything look lethargic like 5 year old phone. I have used Nova launcher but this even makes the stock launcher fast and usable.

We have to use a launcher though? Can't use this feature with touch wiz that is stock?

What animations are we talking about? Or should I just try it? I like the pages turning and fading out when I change the pages... are those the animations?

EDIT: Nevermind, I just read the response above on the same question. I think I am fine with the speed and keep those animations.
