Sweet hope they hurry my seidio rugged case spine broke already sniff sniff it's a month only a month old no abuse involved nor was it dropped.
 
That response is their regular response to inquiries regarding cases. They say coming soon all the time.

Let's just put it this way... Duke Nukem Forever was coming soon too.
 
i'm sorry but this is crap...the evo has been out what, like 2 and half months now, and still no designs made or models of the cases. OtterBox is irritating me. I'm happy with my TPU case i got, but it's not gonna hold up for long....I ride a harley, and throw my phone in the saddlebags when i go riding...if my phones gonna bounce around and vibrate like crazy, i need a case that can handle it. I really wish otterbox would get their heads outta their a**es but oh well...maybe for Christmas
 
My only concern with the Otterbox is that they scratch up the back of your phone, I had one on my BB 8330 and it was bad once i took it off. Its a great case for protection but it did leave scratches. Since Otterbox had nothing when the phone came out i ended up getting the BodyGlove case at the store and its ok, they had the right idea though; its velvet lined to protect your phone. Now if Otterbox added that feature, it would be AWESOME. regardless i am still getting the otterbox when it comes out. I will just have to butcher my bodyglove case and steal the lining out of it. LOL

Yesterday, I sent a pretty nasty email to OTTERBOX and asked to be contacted by phone. They called me today, much to my surprise, and assured me that they did not "favor" the iPhone and that an EVO case will be about a month away. I spoke with Chris in the Customer Service department and said that they are not sure of release dates until the product is ready to ship. However if you are waiting for this as I am sure most of you are, go to this page: HTC EVO 4G Cases Coming Soon // OtterBox.com
and subscribe. The more who show interest, the faster we will get our cases.
 
yeah otterbox needs to step up their game, I just got the EVO and I want a defender case soooooooo bad, Ive used otterbox FOREVER and they are the best, Just got rid of my htc hero and I had the defender case sooooo sweet, and its the ONLY case that actually covers the front of the phone like the buttons and ear piece thats the best part they are woeth every penny the crap jel skind do nothing

Got this just yesterday!!!

We do not have a specific release date for that case at this time. Due to a number of factors which change them, as a company we do not set release dates for new products so the only thing we know at the moment is that they will be available soon. I apologize that I am not able to offer more specific information. If you have any further questions, please let me know.

I find it hard to believe that it takes this long to get these cases up and going. If it does take them this long to get a working model, then they need to hire more R and D people. Otterbox could have the market in cases if they would just get them out in a reasonable amount of time instead of 6 months after the phone comes out. I have a case already, but really want the otterbox since I work outside everyday. I don't know at this point if it is worth giving them my money so they continue to think this practice is alright.
 
hell yeah chum is right, otterbox says " we want to see how well the evo will sell" well there ******s you wasted how much money making cases for 10 other stupid phones by HTC that sold absolutly nothing and they have to see on the EVO, I think the evo is one of the best selling phones of all time seeing how my friend works at sprint and they sell out everytime they get any in, real smart buisness move my otterbox, the first avalible 4g phone in the us and they have to wait and see LOL
 
They don't favor iPhone but the iPhone 4G cases are out and here it has been well over three months and no Evo cases.

I just rec'd my Otterbox for the HTC Evo. I personally think it is poorly constructed. The rubber is very flimsy, and the flaps seems as if they would tear over a period of usage. I am very disappointed. It seems like they put a lot of work into the IPhone products, but short changed one the fastest selling phones on the market (Sprint HTC Evo 4G). Thank you for allowing me to vent....
 
I just tossed my generic case from Best Buy, and its the same quality of rubber and plastic. Maybe I need to do another revaluation.
 
what the heck is taking them forever? Well, when they finally release it, they can take it and shove it, the evo would have probably have an upgraded version :rolleyes:
 
I got my Defender case on Saturday. All I have to say is it's awesome! I'm rather hard on my phones and I need all the protection I can get.
 
If it weren't for the $35 I spent just a few weeks ago on the Seido case/carrier I wouldn't even hesitate to buy this.

Be sure to share your 'oops' moments with this carrier, I'm very curious to see how it holds up. A coworker of mine had me sold when he bounced his cell off the ground with his OtterBox shodded BlackBerry.
