Is there a way to overclock without a custom rom (if there is even a custom rom available)???

The kernel needs to have overclock enabled, if the stock kernel doesn't, then it's not possible as far as I'm aware.

I was aware of that, I should have been more specific as to how can I get a kernel for the Atrix 2? Im running gingerbread right now and cpu control but that only lets me clock to a min and max which I have set at 1000, I know the Atrix 2 is capable of being extremely fast with like 1.4 or 1.5. Am I sol until a rom is available?

However, only one looks to offer overclocking. Isn't the Atrix 2 quite fast anyway?

There is a custom rom available but it's rather limited due to locked bootloader. But yes you can overclock even without a custom kernel, but you would have to run said rom.
