Want Widgets on your lock screen?

can you actually interact with the widgets you put on the lock screen, or do you have to swipe the slider and get into the phone to actually work with them as usual? It seems, like if you put weather on the front like the OP, if you could interact with it - press it to get weather details - then it could get set off in the pocket. so I assume you can just see these widgets, but cannot do anything with them until you enter the phone.

I would also be curious how it might actually interact with something like mobile defense since mobile defense can lock down your phone, would this break that ability since it takes over the lock screen?

You can interact with anything on the lockscreen. I even put a shortcut to the phone to make it easier to make calls. I don't use mobile defense since I use WaveSecure and so far it has been buggy. Most of the time it locks the phone down but there have been a couple of times where it did not lock it down.

To answer your question... you can have it either way. You can set the app to be able to modify, add/remove, and interact with widgets, sliders, etc. You also have the ability to hide the notification bar on the lock screen (which could be a curse or blessing). I personally have changed mine to not be able to modify/interact with anything from the lock screen. I don't really have any widgets I want to interact with and don't want to delete a slider on accident.

I like the app so far, however found a problem that bugs me:

When putting the phone in the desk dock, the Clock app comes up (I'm running a 2.2 ROM) normally. If you then hit the sleep/power button, the display turns off, but the hotkeys (home, menu, search, back) light up. If you then hit the power/sleep button, it goes to the Widget Locker screen instead of the clock app.

I'd rather the Widget Locker disable itself while docked. I use my phone as an alarm clock, so its important that the phone behaves 'normally' when in the dock.

I lost my phone in Las Vegas and the guy who found was a businessman from California who was leaving for the airport. He called everyone in my phone until someone knew how to get a hold of me and then he called and left the phone at the baggage claim.

The moral here? DO NOT leave phone numbers of girls you don't talk to anymore in your phone! Especially if their name starts with "A" and they're at the top of the contact list.

Funny story.
And the moral is if you had a lock screen you may have never gotten it back b/c he wouldn't have been able to open your contacts....

partially true.. there are some apps that let you send a text to your phone and it will be the first thing seen when a person turns on the phone & it can lock the phone so you get the best of both worlds. so, even if it is locked, you send a text to your phone and it triggers a prefabricated message like

"HEY.. you found my phone, contact me at ....."

and if it is not locked, you can send the text to lock it AND pop up a message

Installed it ... but I can't add any sliders to my unlock screen. Seems straight-forward and simple, but when I press save, the new sliders doesn't appear.

This HAS to be the most hi-jacked thread EVER! It's about an app, NOT the pros and cons of having a freakin lock screen!!!

Would someone (the OP?) please answer this question:

threads are like conversations, they twist and turn & take tangents..

i have no issue with it unlocking the screen. did you make sure to attach the home to it like it asked? it does not make it load on press but needs to attach to the home function since it becomes a precursor to the homescreen and bypasses the stock lock function. that is the only thing i can think of.
