Help Warp vs Samsung Galaxy Prevail

I have the SGP right now and pretty much hate it.. The only things I really like about it are Swype and the Task Manager.. Does the ZTE Warp have both of these? Also, I have a couple of apps that I paid for.. Does that stay with my e-mail so I could put them on this phone?

Why do you hate it? I'm in metro and have the samsung admire but i'm getting boost and was actually thinking between the SGP or the ZTE Warp.
 
It's just slow.. I had to root it and delete a lot of the bloatware due to the small internal storage.. I just really don't like how slow it is haha. I have the pattern lock on it and it likes to freeze up a lot. I'd look into the ZTE Warp and I've heard good things about the Samsung Transform Ultra. I think I might go get the Warp tomorrow lol
 
Damn never mind then lol. My uncle got the ZTE Warp yesterday and from what I saw I liked it, it ran smoothly. I didn't get to thoroughly test it though. Also I saw in different posts that it has problems that's why I didn't know. I'm going to check out the Samsung Transform Ultra. Thanks for the reply :)
 
Gave my SGP to my wife. Just the bigger screen and the additional 256MB made the switch worthwhile. All third party apps on the SGP work fine on my Warp. Both phones are rooted.
 
yeah, you can't go wrong with ctmod, simple and straightforward as long as you have cwm and root set up. Link2sd was tricky because you had to get your card partitioned, but after that it's a breeze and well worth the trouble since the internal memory is so limited. My wife hasn't had an issue ever since I go the warp and gave her the prevail, she does't even know it's not stock LOL I miss that phone because of all the custom roms and mods people did, the warp has way more potential but development on it is just getting fired up so it's not nearly as exciting if you are into modding/messing with roms.

Youll really like the warp, esp coming from thr prevail. My gf had the prevail since around launch (on boost, at least), and i loathed the day i might have to by one. But, I suffered with the old blackberry until last fall, when i found out about the warp. its like night and day! Plus the prevails keyboard was way too small for me. This phone is a bit big, but the keyboard is just right.
 
I have had the Prevail since its birth. I bought mine at a store the day before its release. I paid 199 for mine. Its a great phone. I just got my Warp about 1 week ago. I was stuck between the Marquee and the Warp. Go to the Warp forum and lots of people have had glitchs and problems. Some people have has awesome luck. The Marquee has an beautiful screen and a really nice camera. I decided to go with the Warp. Bigger screen and 80 less where the deal makers.I can honestly tell you this with the mods I did to the prevails internet pages loads abit quicker, I think the Prevails screen quality is a bit better and the camera when taking equal picture in day is better. But let me say this the Warp is way, way, way better. the bigger screen is so cool. The phone is so snappy and responsive, fast no matter how many roms you put on the prevail it just isnt as fast. Links2sd, apps2sd just dont campare to having about 2.75GB internal memory. I can run so many more games and applications that the prevail just couldn't. I would recommend this phone to anybody. Its not perfect but for the money the Warp is a good deal.
 
I agree that the screen on the prevail is better than warp... a little more vivid.

As for the camera, i dont know that prevail is better. Prevail takes decent pics IF the light level is right... screwed if not. At least the warp has an led flash built in. Something else that i never noticed on the prevail is an exposure slider on the camera screen. The warp has one on-screen to adjust exposure before you take a pic.

When it comes to web, its a bit unfair to compare a modded prevail's preformance to that of a stock warp. The big difference to me is that the warp does support adobe flash, whereas the prevail does not. Even if the prevail loads slightly faster, its an incomplete experience without flash support.
