Help -Warp wont power on!

So, last night, before i went to bed, i went to power my phone off. It had been on charge for most of the day, and when i pucked it up, it had the led lit green, but the phone wouldnt respond to any buttons. So naturally, i pull the battery, give it a few seconds, and try rebooting. Nothing! It wont light the led when plugged in, or anything! Completely dead.

I bought a replacement battery for it a couple months ago, so my first thouht was a bad battery. I dug out the original battery for it, which still works, but depleted quickly. Still nothing! I tested voltage on both batteries, and both show about 4 volts. So they appear to be okay.

So from the looks of it, the phone is just dead. Idk what happened to it that would make it break from setting on a table, hook to the charger, but that appears to be what happened!

Before i trash this thing, does anyone have anything i could try to bring this thin back to life, or is it just time to upgrade?

(Ive had the warp since launch, and really like it with root and custom rom. Hate to move on just yet!)

Firstly ...

Thanks for the quick reply Ben.

Ive inspected both areas on the phone, and there is no apparent damage. And like i said, its always worked fine, and was literally settin on a table by itself all day. I last used it around 1 or 2 pm, and by midnight, when i went to bed, it was unresponsive.

Let me be clear tho...

I probed two battery packs for this phone with a multimeter, and both have right around 4v DC, as they should. So it doesnt seem like an issue with the charger. Although, the old, original one, has been setting in a drawer for about 3 months... since i bought the replacement. Still showing voltage tho.

But just to be sure, Ive tried more than one charger/cable combo, with the same results. Plus, the one i normally use, works fine with any other device i plug into.

It seems to be is an issue with the power routing inside the phone. I can have a hot battery and charger connected to it, but it acts as if there is no power supply at all. When i press the power button, nothing happens. No red led, no battery charge screen, wont go into recovery, and definitely wont boot up! Its just dead as can be!

And the strange thing to me is that when i went to turn it off, it was setting there with the screen off and green led lit up, lime it would normally be if fully charged. I unplugged the cable and the led stayed lit up, which is not normal. When i found that the screen wouldnt come on, i pulled the battery out, and ever since, its been 100% dead!

EDIT
im using an htc AC adapter. Output is 5 volt, 1 amp

Been probing on the phone with the multimeter....

- With battery out, phone facing screen down, top facing away from you

- Phone conected to charge cable

There are three pins for battery contact. The one on far right appears to be positive, the other two negatives. When i probe between the far right and far left pin, i get 4.2 volts DC. When i probe the far right pin, and the center pin, i get 2 volts. However, if i press the center pin in, like it would be if the battery was in it, i get 4.2 volts!?

Now, if you remove the sd card, you will see a bank of copper contacts right where the charger connects. Theres a cut out made into the phones housing to allow easy access to these contact. So im probing again!

There are two columns of contacts, with four contacts per colum. Two of them, in the left colum, have little indentions in them, and are gray colored, instead of copper. Both of these are Negative.

In the right hand column, the top contact is showing 5.1 volts. The 3rd and 4th contacts in the right column are showing just 2.58 volts. The readings are consistant when grounded on either of the two gray negative contact (mentioned above).

Of course, i have no clue if this is normal, since i dont have a known good Warp to use as a benchmark.

The same thing happened to me. Had my warp charging over night and by morning, was completely dead. I tried different batteries, even when I tried putting in the charger, there was no led lit. I ended up sending to to zte and they fixed it for free. The motherboard had to be replaced. I guess running a oc kernel fried the sucker. But call zte. They have a 1 year limited warranty. Good luck
