Root Warranty replacement/how to unroot.

Can I just go into Rom manager and download the Verizon Droid 2.2 frg01b? Does my device get unrooted after that?

Do i do it with an .sbf rename it update.zip and apply it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to truly unroot, you'll need to use RSDlite and flash a stock SBF. You can do this by following instructions here:

http://androidforums.com/droid-all-things-root/136508-guide-all-things-root-related.html

Read the specific thread, "how to revert back to stock".

Its a very simple process, just make sure your drivers are fully updated.

**But, you can attempt the "stock" image that is in ROM manager. Once downloaded, you should be prompted to do an OTA update (FRG22). If so, you are clean from root and good for the replacement :)

i unrooted but not sure if recovery is factory or not. it still says s-off and not sure if it is supposed to be on? hit me up at grimacedface at yahoo

You mean superuser off?

Go to settings--about phone--and tell me what the build, version, and kernel says.

Oh....and as far as recovery. Get into recovery and see if it has "install app from SD" as an option.
