Root Warranty with root?

My X has a defect just underneath the glass. It looks as though someone has taken a fingernail or thumbnail and scratched the outer surface of the glass. The color of the scratches are jet black. Other than a couple of very small nicks on the sides of the device, there is no visual physical damage to the glass or phone. I cannot feel even a small trace of a scratch on the glass. It's as smooth as silk. The phone has been dropped a few times, but not lately, and never in the water. The scratches appeared suddenly and have gotten wider in the last 12 to 24 hours.

I called Verizon and a replacement will be here tomorrow. I have had the phone for 9 months and am filing a claim under factory warranty. Now comes the question portion of this post.

I'm rooted of course. What is Motorola going to look for in the phone? From what I understand, one needs to .sbf to stock to rid your phone of the superuser icon and any custom boot image before returning the device. I will do a factory reset and clear the cache as well. What else do I need to do here? What about busy box? It comes off with the .sbf right? I'm worried Motorola will find something they don't like! Will they say the scratches are a result of me dropping the phone? But more importantly, WILL THEY FIND SOME EVIDENCE OF ROOT?

You guys have always been great whenever I have questions. Is there any advice you can give me on returning my Droid X? Thanks in advance...

Sincerely,

Michael

that, and with an obvious physical defect in the screen, they most likely wouldn't give a rip, since they have to wipe and reload the device before they send it back into service.
