Root Warrenty Query

Quick question about rooting A HTC Legend.

If I do root my phone does this void the warrenty? I bought my ledgend sim free (no carrier lock) so I'm only concerned about the HTC warrenty.

I was going to email HTC but not sure I'll get a clear responce from them!

yes it does void your warranty.
you can unroot if it goes a bit wrong.
don't ask HTC, they don't like rooters, that's why they've made it hard to do it.
