You need to clarify.
You mean, you purchased the phone from an individual that sold it brand new?
If you did not purchase the phone from a Verizon store/indirect store/big box (walmart or bestbuy) you have no warranty through them.
Motorola will warranty their product. But they may state that since you have not registered the device through them, you are not covered. I honestly do not see Motorola giving you a replacement.
But, you can contact Motorola Warranty at 1-800-734-5870. Open 7am-10pm CST.
Just don't get your hopes up.
