Root Was thinking about rooting...

especially with these damn new apps getting shoved onto my phone...but I did the bootloader to check my hboot and its 2.10 i beleive =/ just got my evo within the last month...so is it still as of now im SOL with this 2.10? Im kinda worried either way, i mean i jailbroke my ipod touch i know this is kind of similar, but at the same time i see that it voids my warranty, etc etc but guess i should get my answer first bout the hboot version haha...

ps, 'ello forums! haha

Wow, 2.10 hboot? I guess that's new. Sorry to say, but your going to have to wait for someone to build a root for 2.10. When you do finally root your phone, you will voided your warrenty. Although there are a few unroot method you can you use to bring you back to stock form unrooted if you have to send it in for service. But don't give up on rooting.

The link pinoy posted is indeed the only option at the very moment. I do not recommend trying it unless you understand what you are doing in each step. It's definitely not the most simple method. Your best bet is to wait until the unrevoked team releases an update. We know they are currently working on it.

yeah i looked at that....doing a bit of studying on that link lol im pretty technically savvy, im considering it i just dont want to end up with the fancy paperweight -_-

What's the hurry just wait for the easier method. Good things come to those who wait

nah like i said i probably would wait....just all these apps that i dont touch and cant remove taking up memory...and cluttering my app menu lol
