Where can i watch or dwnload movies(shows) on my ascend?![]()
I've asked this question a few times and have yet to get an answer. Why would you want to watch movies on a 3.5" screen?
A lot of reasons. I have a 2 yr old who loves baby einstein.. so at the Drs office or a restaurant its nice to have that ability. Also, i have a lot of window time and standby time at my job.. so its nice to be able to youtube something to occupy time that would otherwise be spent staring at the floor.
There are plenty of reasons..

That answers the question about wanting to watch videos. My query is about watching them on such a small screen. I could see the appeal on a bigger screen like on a Motorola Droid or Thunderbolt but I've watched Youtube videos on the Ascend and I find the screen too small to really enjoy them.
Yup sure is, I think one of the programs I used to do that was Handbrake, yup it was lol. Heres the link to its download page:Well, regardless of whether we like to watch videos on our phones or not, can we help this lady figure it out? I guess she would have to get a program on her computer to convert her movies to mp4? I've never done this, so does anybody have any ideas?

The screen is 480x320 on the Ascend so encoding at a higher resolution will not make it look any better. If anything it may introduce compression artifacts if you don't use a high enough bitrate but if you do that then you risk choppy video playback during "high action" scenes.I'm new to the forum but I've got plenty of movies on my Ascend using Handbrake. I went from 480x320 to 640x480 in h.264 format and it looks great.
