Hi, anyone got advice on watching UK TV on my desire, I have catchup tv in my bookmarks but am finding it increasingly unreliabe getting messages "unable to connect to server" and have tried Yamgo but that only seems to have bbc world news.
Your recommendations or advice would be most welcome. Im not a sky subscriber but do have virgin

I watch things like iplayer (for BBC), youtube TV (for channel 4 and five), BBC News for live video news, etc... direct from the websites. Generally they have enough content for me. What content were you looking for?

I use a device called a Television. It's not available in the app market, but it is well worth tracking one down. :p You can find loads of stuff on youtube if it's not too recent and you're willing to trudge through several parts, and iPlayer is good for any BBC programs. I think there's a channel 4 version out there, too. Other than that I can't help.

Wish. I could afford the slingbox Mobile client. Tested it on blackberry and it was great

Hopefully soon they will release a Justin.TV viewer app for Android. There's one on the iPhone and it's got heaps of content!

Try the app myplayer. It was originally for the iplayer, but that was pulled. But it still has Itv and ch4 available. Not great. But better than nothing.

TVCatchup is fun for me, I get the occasional 'cannot connect' but that seems to be down to the broadcaster... I get them on a PC sometimes too

Tried tvcatchup sdring the world cup. The iphone version is much better quality. and its hard to connect to too.

You could use the camcorder application on the Desire to record your favorite shows directly from the screen and then watch them later.

Your arm will ache, the picture is dreadful and the sound inaudible but, hey, it's better than nothing, right? Right? Guys??
