Help Water Damage Indicator(s)?

This past weekend, my 2 yr. old decided my Inspire needed to go swimming with her . It wasn't in the pool long and I took the battery, sim card & SD card out and got it dried off and placed in some rice. I left it in the rice about 36 hours. Now, I can't get it to turn on. When connected to the charger, the indicator light blinks...but it still won't power up. So, my questions are: 1) Where are the water damage indicator(s)? (if there are any on the physical phone body & not just the battery); 2) Would it be worth trying a new battery before I replace the phone?

Hey ajw, welcome to AF. I had a laptop that suffered a similar fate because my wee one thought it looked thirsty so I feel your pain.

On my old Desire HD (which is the International version of your Inspire and almost identical), there was a water damage indicator underneath the battery cover next to the sticker with your IMEI on it. It should be black with the word VOID in white writing on it.

I believe there's also one underneath the SIM/SD Card cover.

There's no harm in trying a new battery, but it sounds fried if you ask me, sorry.
