Water damage

My captivate suffered water damage when my two year old sprayed water on the counter. I do have the black tie protection plan and when purchased they said water damage unless submerged is covered. Well it was not submerged and I have tried to dry it out with little luck. It works but the response is slow.

Anybody have any experience they can share.

You have to completely dry it out before you turn it on. You turned it on. It will work no better than you have it. It's broken.

^Steven is right, it it works and works slow, that's probably all you will get.

As a "next time" tip:
Whenever you get electronics wet you need to turn them off immediately and put in a bag of rice if possible -- then leave it that way for anywhere from 2 days to a week. The rice will help absorb the moisture.
