Help Wave Secure Flaw - Other Options?

So while performing a test lock on my device I found that the Home button still works even when the device is locked down. The system re-locks in a couple seconds and I'm unable to launch other apps when its locked down, but it does allow me to pull down the notification bar and disable the radios (GPS, Network, Ringer, Bluetooth, etc from the toggle switches). Also, when the notification bar is pulled down I am able to see any current notifications - like most recent TXT msgs, e-mails, etc.

This seems like a major flaw, but according to the e-mail from WaveSecure support, this is expected behavior because they can't take control of the Home button. So its *mostly* secure, but not real secure if you're technical enough or motivated enough.

I paid $20 for an annual subscription and am considering asking for a refund. Are there other products that work better. I very much like the fact that I can remotely lock the device and that it can turn on the GPS to get its location.

wow man, I don't know much about this as I just use a lock screen lol, I have nothing to hide on my phone, but if I did and paid $20 for it, I wouldn't expect that to happen, and would ask a refund. What's wrong with the standard phones security using a pin number?

I don't really care to lock the phone for daily use, but if I accidentally leave it on the table after lunch or it gets stolen, I'd like to know I could lock it down if I need to (and better, track it down).

Its not about hiding anything, but if someone does get my phone I'm not sure I want them having access to everyone I know, my photos and all my G-Mail. No real threat but just an added security blanket.

I see, makes sense to me, was just curious that's all... I as well would like to be able to do these same things.. but does GPS need to be on, or is that an option you can turn on. because I never use GPS and would be worthless for me in that aspect.

I personally use mobile defense. If your rooted you can remotely turn on the gps which is a great feature.

Mobile Defense is not allowing new users to sign up. I'm asking for a refund from WaveSecure and then I'll take a look at the Lookout Premium product.
