Root We already Have Beats Audio?

Does This mean we have beats audio and the Evo 3D does not and how would we go about turning it on or off?

Not sure. But what is the difference between Beats Audio and DPS Manager. Aren't they the same thing sorta?
 
Like Kahroo, I'm not sure either. What I can tell you is that I have PowerAmp as well on my non-rooted EVO V and I have the same Beats option. It seems to work. Bass was definitiely richer
 
Gwaaat? Lol hadn't noticed this, have power amp on my v and the option isn't there, so I'm gonna have to go yeah it looks like we have it, although I doubt difference would be noticed without proper head phones, and from what I've read about beats, is not necessarily better sound just dre's preference of sound settings, if your into serious sound you might disagree with his preference especially if you listen to other genres of music, I dj and have some quality headphones- Allen & health zone series- gonna have to go give it a listen
 
Skull candy works really well with bass. The ones that are like $40 retail. I've found them at stores like Marshalls or TJ Maxx for $25. The bass really bumps on those.

We have SRS Surround sound enhancer pre installed. Play a song and then it the menu button and then look for sound enhancers and theres your list of things
 
i emailed HTC about this and this is their reply

To access the beats audio on your HTC Evo V 4G enter your music player, select a song and once it is playing, if you plug headphones into the device it will show a beats audio icon in the top notification bar. This feature is only accessible when using headphones. You are able to use any headphone set that fits the audio port. If you are using a Beats Audio headset it will auto-detect it.

Can someone on the Stock Rom Confirm this i don't have Beats Headphones....

Ahhhhhhh I saw that also but didn't register till you just said it.... Hmmm the elusive HTC EVO V/3D...
 
I have a pair of Beats. When I'm listening to music with them i switch the music enhancers to see if I hear any difference and yes, the beats option helps out a lot. The bass is amazing. lol.
But when I connect them nothing happens.

This thread has me a little lost...So Evo V does have Beats Audio but just no notification for it in the taskbar?

I can can confirm what thebrycee said, it works and has the notification icon in the task bar on ZR3DX rom.

In PAmp, I don't see the beats switch, but I notice "SRS" makes music sound better (smoother bass mainly).

Sound's a lot better than my Triumph. I can turn up the bass louder without it drowning out the higher frequencies.
