DO IT! and other people post on other blogs/forums too. We need HTC to get the idea what their consumers really want.
I received the exact same response this morning. Although they are now saying they are working through legal channels to release the source code and not referencing the Hero source code anymore. So this may be some progress.FYI...I got the standard response yesterday as well....I replied with: "Unacceptable answer", they replied with:
I do understand how important it is to be able to use your device to the best of its capabilities. We are not withholding the source code; we are currently working through the legal channels that we must go through to make the source code available to you. When it is available, you will be able to find it on developer.htc.com. I apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced, and thank you for your patience in this matter.
