Weak 4G after wireless tethering workaround.

So I used to have a pretty constant 1.5Mbps 4G connection over West Pal Beach... it would get lost in poorer areas, but that was to be expected.

Later I would wired tether fine, after Metro blocked it, so I had to use a workaround using an android user agent on firefox, so that the internet data thinks I'm still using a mobile phone... that worked great both wired and wirelessly.

But now, even though it still works, whenever I use my phone normally I get way less 4G connectivity, and the 4G icon goes missing a lot, or switches to 3G and 1x WAY MORE than usual... I realize I don't even come close to my monthly cap, so am I paranoid or did Metro punished me, or is it just normal?

This has been happening for the last seven days, and I mean, I used to almost always get 4G at home ALL the time before, but not anymore...

I've been hearing news of Metro taking tower some 4g towers in certain markets to get it ready VoLTE. However, I dont think they'd keep it down for a week. If you havent already, you may want to see if someone else who has metro is losing their 4g in your area as well. If not, you may want to take the phone back to metro (obviously after unrooting it and removing evidence that you tethered off of it) and tell them that the 4g network is bad and you want to replace your UCCID card. (chances are its gone bad, shit happens.)
In short, you have two options.
1. wait it out and hopefully its just the VoLTE upgrade
2. Unroot your phone and remove root apps and restore bloatware then take it to metro and tell them you are not getting 4g service and that you think your UCCID card is bad. (DO NOT TELL THEM YOU TETHERED OFF YOUR PHONE!!!)
