Help Weak GPS signal

I have been getting very low GPS signals one or two satellites any help or ideas on how to pickup more would be a great help thanks... Running Android version 4.1.2 GB27 Rooted

Fixed the issue GPS Status app Tools,Manage A-GPS State, Hit Reset clears caches. It works I am getting sat fix's again but I would like to get more sats any ideas? Thanks

The number of Satellites you lock your position with with vary depending on location and atmospheric conditions.

Only problem is not all apps let you use the external / bt GPS unfortunately. I have had one for years and it's extremely accurate. Cyanogenmod roms have a "GPS source" setting which is really sweet and let's you choose your bt GPS as the primary source. My wife and I are big into geocaching and the official geocaching app is sweet but we use our trusty Garmin for the actual hunt since phone GPS is no where near as accurate, not even close.
