Help Weak Haptic feedback with soft key press

Since I upgraded my Fascinate to Froyo, stock ED01 OTA update, the haptic feedback for the softkeys is minimal at best. Definitely not what I get when using the keyboard or other application features. It seems to be at half the sensitivity of what it usually is. Any idea if this can be changed, or is it a 2.2 feature that we have no control over? I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.
