Help Weak Vibration

Hello All,

I just the new Samsumg Galxy S3 LTE in the UK. After using it for few days, i notice that the vibration intensity is very weak and if I leave it on a table, I dont even realise that it is vibrating. Is anyone facing similar issues? Any tips would be most welcome. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to AF, kunjthegreat!:)

Have you gone into settings and tried to change the vibration to either make it stronger, or maybe even to a different pattern that would be more noticable to you?
That would be my first suggestion.

Thank you for your reply :)

I did check in the settings and the vibration intensity is set at maximum for all. I also looked up the vibration by going into *#0*# and it still is quite weak. I come from blackberry, where the vibration is pretty strong. So not sure if i am just used to it and overall the level of vibration is low in Samsung phones?? If not please advice.

You know, I am not sure what to advise here. My US SGS3 and my Samsung Note LTE both have fairly strong vibration, but then I am not used to a Blackberry.
I would recommend that you take it to your service provider and have them troubleshoot for you. While you are there, play around with the display S3 and see if the vibration is stronger, or similar to yours.

Hey thanks. I did exactly that and it seems the vibration is alright. But as compared to Blackberry, it definitely is quite weak. guess thats how it is made!

My GS2 is the same way. Disappointing for such an expensive phone. I thought I had a defect hearing people with GS2s from other carriers not have this problem, so I thought it was just the TMobile models, but apparently not. I've searched Google and this forum and there aren't too many people complaining about it but it's surprising because it's such a weak vibe even on max that it's rare I feel it in my pocket.
Another thing about my phone is that it ships with really low db ringtones and notification tones. I really can't hear them in my pocket or across the room if the TV is on or whatever. To fix that I had to copy over a friends ringtones that seem to have been recorded at a higher db, at least enough to be heard over ambient noise or in a pocket.
The vibration thing is the most frustrating though because there isn't really a way to fix it by copying over a louder ringtone. I'm wondering if I root and install a different rom if that would change anything or if this vibration mechanism is just hopelessly lame.
I really wish others, especially is my specific forum, would post about it. I'm heading over there now to make a post to see if I can get some kind of talk going to help narrow down if all the GS phones from the US are like this or if it's just the TMobile ones, or what...
