Weaker Signal?

I just traded in my Captivate earlier today, and maybe its my imagination, but I think my signal strength is weaker than the last phone. Maybe It just needs to warm up, or maybe I've elevated the last phone in my memory, but I seem to be getting less bars, even in open areas.
 
i just got mine yesterday and noticed this as well. im still getting great reception though, so im not to worried about it...for now anyways
 
I had my captivate replaced and although my battery is better I am also noticing a lot more calls going straight to voicemail.
 
I think if you are in an lower reception area the signal can get problematic if you are holding it , mine used to drop 2 bars if i would hold phone
 
I have had my cappy since day one, and i have noticed both ways with the signal. Sometimes i notice one or two bars in places i couldn't even get phone calls before just texts. Then there is times where i notice less bars but....i did notice that even with no bars or one bars i can make a crystal clear phone call even with no bars. So in my opinion I like my phone better all around.
 
My signal has been pretty good. Yesterday my wife and I took a trip in a remote area. I had 3-4 bars on 3G and her iphone 4 had no signal.
