Weaker Wifi Antenna?

When at home, I noticed that my Infuse has a harder time maintaining a functioning wifi signal when in the parts of the home furthest from the modem. Interestingly, my mom and sister's iPhone 4s have no issue and show a medium-strength wifi signal and perform without any disconnections.

I wondered if that was just a strange occurrence, but I've noticed it yet again at my school library, where my friend's iPhone 4 was perfectly fine with a slightly weak wifi signal in our area, but my Infuse constantly lost the signal and then reconnected.

Anyone else who had used a different phone before notice whether the wifi receiver on the Infuse seems a little bit more flaky compared to other phones? I'm wondering if the iPhones have superb wifi receivers or if the Infuse's is on the bad side (it'd be interesting to see if any other Android devices had similar occurrences).
 
Yep! Mine sucks so bad!! I can't even leave the room my WiFi modem is in or I lose signal completely - but old iPhone was no issue and could even get WiFi from 3 floors down.
 
It's pretty bad. I cannot get full signal unless I'm literally right next to the wifi router. If I'm more then 5 feet away it looses a level. Functionally, I would say it is about 80% the range of my wife's 3GS. But I still wouldn't trade it for an iPhone because I love the screen too much...

Yea buddy! Lol i lovey my screen. I just havent seen it on in a long time...
 
I have also had weak signal issues with my Infuse. Far from the router, my laptop and the old ipad 1 worked fine. However, all of the new family devices have problems. The iPad 2, Galaxy Tablet 10.1, and both Infuses disconnect when in the section of the house furthest from the router. I just got a new Diamond wifi signal extender from Amazon. It works great for the devices that were having the problem. Oddly, though, now my Laptop is having problems with it's Internet connection disappearing. It was the one device that was good before. Haven't had time for tech support this week. Maybe next week.
