Help Weather app Data Usage

Hi

Apologies if this has been asked before but I couldnt find a thread which answers my query.

I just wanted to ask about whether the weather app that comes with HTC phones uses a lot of data?

At the moment I dont have a monthly Dataplan. so I would like to keep costs down until i get an approprate Dataplan for the handset.

So back to my query, if i tick the 'use wireless network' opetion in the Location menu and the weather app cant find the access point i usually connect to, will it attempt to use a mobile network connection eventhough Mobile Network connection setting is switched to off?

I don't think any data is going to be used. I don't have a data plan and the "use network for location" seems to be working. My weather widget only updates when I'm on wifi, it's probably what is going to happen to you.

Thanks, yes your right. My weather app is only updating when i have wifi on. I tested it at my friends house.
