Weather App

Ok, so I am wondering if there is an app for my photon that does the exact same thing as the htc sense stock weather app or close to it. The main thing I miss is the little windshield wiper that comes across the screen when it rains. Any help with this would be awesome. I love love this photon.....but I miss htc sense.

Try Beautiful Widgets.

There's also a paid weather widget on Amazon, for free app of the day right now. Not sure how good it is, but thought I'd bring it up.

If you don't mind the app size (45+MB),it's pretty cool.

One trick to keep in mind to get this app to work properly(at least on my phone):

After downloading,go to homescreen & select MENU>MANAGE APPS & scroll down to the WEATHER+ app
If it loaded on the media partition(this will be evident by a much smaller actual app size indicated,>1MB),select MOVE TO PHONE.

Edit:
After selecting my location,I was able to move the app back to the MEDIA storage partition & the app continued to work properly.
I had to do this in order to get the app to accept a location other than the default location, which happened to be showing LOS ANGELES,CA.

Just PERFECT for you,DREXAPPEAL!:D

EDIT #2:

Had to move the app back onto the phone's storage(HOMESCREEN>MENU>MANAGE APPS>WEATHER +>MOVE TO PHONE)in order for the widgets to stay up-to-date & keep time.

I was tempted to buy it, but I'm good with Beautiful Widgets and the other weather app (no longer available for free on the market) that TS and I both have. Even though it's free, buying that weather app would be a little over kill...but seems like a decent option for those that don't want to pay for Beautiful widgets.

For those that like Beautiful Widgets but don't care to buy it, you can get it free from GetJar.

Just a pre-warning about this. I actually did download from Getjar initially, but the only drawback is, it doesn't allow the app to be updated.

I ran into that problem, the first update that was pushed through, so I just ended up buying the app. Well worth the purchase, but of course I was initially happy with the free app while it lasted.

I wondered if/how those apps ever get updates. I guess they don't!

Yeah, I was disappointed, but at the same time...it was like a free trial period that allowed me to see what all the hype was about. Definitely worth the small amount of money.

+ 1 for choice & options.

Almost forgot that I have BEAUTIFUL WIDGETS, FANCY WIDGETS, WEATHERBUG ELITE, & the weather that is pre-installed on SPB SHELL 3-D.

Just finished combing the MARKET for weather apps. About as big of a selection as anyone could ever need. There's something for everyone.

Ah, the beauty of android FTW!

Beautiful widgets is worth the money. The rainy days have the windshield wiper.

Go Weather also is a great app. Everything Go does is pretty darn tight, although there doesn't seem to be a lot of love for it.

Go developers are really, really good. I think the only reason it doesn't get quite as much hype is because they came out after there were already so many popular apps that offered what Go did.

Nontheless, what's going to get them more support (including myself) is their continued updates and support of all the apps they release. They have an entire team that has continued to improve on what they started out with. I'm going to be making the switch to Go Launcher Ex this weekend, so I'm going to be looking at their additional apps as well (including Go SMS, to customize text message notifications from different contacts).
