Help Weather Widget appearing on lock screen

And another lollipop mystery. I've started getting the weather on my lock screen, I've looked everywhere again in my system settings and in beautiful widgets and can't see a lock screen weather anywhere. It only appears randomly after about 6 hours of the phone being reset. The worst part is, it's telling me the weather from the location I went on holiday to last month!!! That location isn't even stored in my weather app anymore!!!

i have the exact same problem so i googled around and came across this. i assumed it would work with my s4 too but for some strange reason i can't access the 'additional information' submenu :/ hope it works for you though!

AW YOU LEDEND!!! That did indeed work!

I wonder why you can't access it? How odd. I found where the weather was coming from but it wouldn't disable from there.

If you go into apps -> clock then go to the far right tab you'll have desk clock. Then press menu -> settings

That was where the information was coming from, but disabling it in there didn't work for me, but your way in settings did!

tried your way and didn't work wither

i've seen few people with the same issue (not being able to access that submenu) and no one has come up with a solution yet, apart from resetting the phone back to factory settings. i refuse to do it so i'll probably be stuck with this for a while LOL.

Just updated my S4 on EE to Lollipop 5.0.1 and I tried the above solution to get rid of the Weather on the lock screen but on going to Home Screen - Settings all I see is Transition effects - Card stack and nothing else. No Lock screen option.

You have to go into the main settings menu, sounds and notifications , go to application notifications and find the app and turn off notifications there.

The setting that worked for me is here:

Settings -> My Device -> Lock screen -> additional information

If you are lucky and ar able to change the available information to off, that should work, it did for me.
