Help Weather widget not updating

My weather widget has been giving me problems lately. I have cleared data and cache. Doing that hasn't helped at all.

How can I resolve this?
 
Not sure what to tell you as I've had the same issue but clearing data has always worked for me. All I know is it always seems fine until a reboot, after which it seems to stop updating. I have not rebooted for over 600 hours now and the widget has updated every hour on the hour since.
 
i had the same problem too, and a reboot fixed the problem. might perhaps be useful to perhaps switch to another source for the internet i.e. another wifi connection perhaps or wifi <--> 3G? i didnt have to clear my cache...
 
I have this problem again.

I've tried clearing data and turning off my phone.

The only thing I notice that works is when GPS is on. I never kept GPS on all the time before and I don't want to now because it will drain my battery.

Someone please help me out!

which weather widget are you talking about? most weather widgets have options to update...every 15 minutes, hour, day, etc....are they active????

Hello. I was having this problem also. The only way that it would update is if GPS was turned on. So I added my current city manually and turned off the "My Current City" in the settings. It updates just fine now without having GPS turned on. All you have to do is hit the button for showing all your saved cities, hit menu and uncheck the "Show Current city" setting. If you go to a different city, you will have to look up the weather manually, but at least it doesn't get stuck trying to update like it does with the current city turned on. Hope this helps.
 
Now my lock screen weather is stuck.

How can I resolve this problem?

Also, what's a better weather app?
 
Mines worked early this morning, however when I looked at it just now it wasn't updating, neither was google homepage giving the location, well infact it did but looked off-line as the little circle wasn't blue.

I restarted my phone and the widget updated, why did it require a restart of the phone I would like to know?
