Weatherbug Temp. in Notification Bar

How do I remove the temperature from the notification bar on the Droid from Weatherbug? I only have the app update every six hours, so I don't need to see the temperature.

You can turn it off in the preferences under "Enable Notification" under the Temperature Notifications.

I kept trying that and it did not work. I then unchecked it and used the back arrow to exit out of the app and it worked great. Thanks
