Help Weatherbug

I've been using Weatherbug for a while and it works well. However, I think it was with a recent update that i can no longer get the weather when I travel, unless I manually designate the new area or turn on GPS. Before, I could get the weather of any area I traveled to, without turning on GPS (which eats battery fast). Am I missing something? I just want to be able to get the weather of anywhere I go to, automatically, using only my data and not needing GPS.

Weatherbug has gone downhill. They used to have a paid version called Weatherbug Elite (I bought that). Elite went bye-bye and Weatherbug went free. It seems they have dropped a lot of functions in favor of more social nonsense. The first update to Elite allowed people to post their own weather pictures, and that seems to have really expanded. I still have the older Elite on a tablet.

You unability to get the updates while travel may be because of the connection issue.

I'm using weather bug and have not had this issue. I'm running it on Lollipop 5.02 (A Custom ROM) It updates fine for me and its version 3.6.56

I do have to agree that It has gone done over the last couple of years. but a few parts have gotten better so its been a give and take. Unfortunately for me its the one I really like the most.
