Web forums pet peeve

I have or "had" a pet peeve witn at&t wireless forum. Suppose to be a site for fellow customers to discuss issues gokd and bad with hopes to find some resolution. There were "goonmods" who would sweep any post that related to a bad csr experience and one mod who would remove posrs that had no personal info like one dod when I reviewed and demo'd an app that could auto-detect a phone number.

I cant recall the full details.and dont care ro remember the lrdeal. But this GOON removed several posts where my demo displayed a BOGUS phone number "123-456-7890" then sent me a nastygram sayiing NEVER question a goon's decision.

I questioned it and demanded another mod "look" at what was yanked.....it got republished.....and I got "cough" suspended.........needlesstosay.....i R O F L! and told them where to stuff it.

my pet peeve is not as dramatic and unfortunately I get guilty of it myself but its when someone says to go get this but gives no link. Yes I admit I to get caught up in the moment and forget to link someone something but as soon as I remember the link goes up.

I put this peeve up at #1,2, or 3 on my list, depends on.coming across something you KNOW will always out-do itself. Has anyone posted this yet?

I hate NOSEY PHISHY SITES where you want to post a comment where, for example, the site "allows" you to log onto your "Google" gmail account.....then pops up this "Almost Done" messags "asking" permission for the site's YAHOOers or whomever is affiliated, to GAIN ACCESS to everything youve posted and received , web browsing history, EVERYTHING tracked in your Google account........just to have the lofty privy to post a comment.

Then when you politely decline the nice request...you get this "red lettered" "THIS SITE REQUIRES ACCESS TO YOUT ACCOUNT BEFORE ALLOWING YOU TO POST....yadayada.."

Sheesh! The nerve.

If you don't post there, they lose the ad revenue exposure and you vote with your feet. If demand is curtailed, they'll figure out why or fade into obscurity.

There are reasons why the top internet sites are at the spots they are :p
