Help webpage not available...

i have a motorola droid running version 2.2.3 software.
i frequently get the "webpage not available" even though settings shows i am connected. this an unactivated phone. i use it where free wifi is available and at home with verizon wireless internet. it even happens near my wifi hotspot when my home computers are surfing ok.
all apps are from the android marketplace.
any ideas?

i have disabled my popup blocker. seems to help. i haven't had any popup issues, yet.
