Root Webtop mode - custom rom

Hi all

Please feel free to direct me if this has been asked / answered previously. Also I am not a total noob, just part noob , so appreciate minimum jargon.

1 - If I (when!) I install a custom ROM to my new Atrix (UK T-Mobile model) does this wipe the Webtop mode? I am considering splashing out on the HD Dock to connect to a spare monitor I have, but no point if this function gets wiped. Or is it maybe stored on separate partition?

2 - Does the HD Multimedia Dock accept USB flash drives as most work I do would be done on a normal Win 7 laptop, however if I can carry out basic tasks then could transfer this way (I cannot use cloud services such as DropBox due to the confidentiality of my work).

Since that is a big pull for a lot of people, I do not believe that any rom removes WebTop mode. But if for some crazy reason they did, it should be listed in what is included/excluded in the rom.

As far as I know, yes it works. I do not have the dock (I use the webtop mod so I don't need it), but I believe that I saw somewhere where it said it does.
