weird battery issue

So lately I've been installing different roms and looking for better battery life and not having much luck. So today I un did my root and went back to a fresh factory incredible. I unplugged it at full charge at 4pm, I'm at 60% battery with moderate usage.

3 20 minute calls, checking fb, emails, and some web browsing on 3g at work, then Ive been on WiFi now almost 3.5 hours online browsing and texts. It makes no sense to me at all but I am getting better battery life with it stock then I was running cm7, incredibly re engineered 2.2 and 2.4

I was dead set on returning this phone tomorrow but now it seems a lot better then when modded, sure its slower but its lasting longer, normally I'd be at 30% by now. It just doesn't make sense to me at all, why now and not when i first got the phone

i'd give it a couple days, see if it stays the same. You may be getting inaccurate readings. Were you wiping "battery stats" after flashing new roms? It's possible your battery wasn't displaying accurate readings while rooted.

I'm not a heavy user and my Dinc is stock. I have never had any battery complaints unless out of nowhere I lost/struggled to get 3g. As long as I have a solid connection, I get an entire awake cycle out of a charge.
I do have the 1500 battery instead of the oem. But as you know.. that's not diddly.

Yeah, I'd give it a few more days to see if it's a fluke.

I had terrible battery life the first time I tried CM7. Tried again with a minimal complement of apps and suddenly battery life is better than I ever saw with Sense ROMs. I never restored any system data either time, but obviously something was out of whack the first time.

Yeah it's over for the old incredible, it got sent back to VZW today and my new different phone should be here tuesday
