Help Weird error

I'm getting a really weird error and I can't figure out how to fix it.

i would delete all data/cache in the "google search" app and also in "search applications provider".

access via the stock app, "manage apps" under "all".

this should fix it, but it is only my best guess as it has not happened to me.

Thanks for your response. I cleared the data in the google search app, but I can't find "search applications provider" in the all apps list.

what am i missing?
