Help Weird file on sd card.

I have searched for this on this forum and even the internet and could not find answer but..for some reason there is a file on my sd card named "nmdsdcid".
It is a file that, when I open it, only has about a dozen zero's with parenthesis around the zeros?
It is only 76 bytes small...
Dont know where it came from or what created it. I'm going to delete it I think and hope for the best

The zeros indicate there has been no configuration of your music utility/app/widget, and/or the fact that it's on the SD card hints that you've deleted or upgraded an app or widget that once was moved to that area off the phone's memory, and the file is now orphaned.

Not that is matters what app or widget I changed, I do not listen to music at all on my phone, so I guess I can delete this.?
Now, if this file had something in it because I have music or whatever on my phone, I should not delete?

It's not malware or anything else negative, and it's very small. I'd first rename it with a "bak" file extension, reboot and run your device normally for a while with an eye toward anything different, including of course force closes.

It could be in the path of a service running in the background, perhaps a ringtone? etc.

If all is well after the rename, just remove it.

So I renamed this file nmdsdcid.bak and so far, so good..
I plugged my phone into my computer tonight, mounted it as disk drive, accessed my sd card and cannot see that file on windows...funny...unmounted from computer, opened es file explorer and it was there. Am I missing something or am I being a little anal about this stupid file????
