Help Weird locking (alarm)

Bit of a weird one this...

Suddenly my phone auto locks when I attempt to set or change the alarm times. I will hit the relevant widget to edit the alarm settings and the phone locks, I have to unlock before I can continue.

At first I wondered if I had accidentally triggered some setting but can't find anything that would do this.

Anyone have similar or any suggestions? It's not a big problem, just unusual!

Shot in the dark -- I don't use alarms -- but are you using a 3rd-party app to set alarms? If yes, has it been updated, with possibly unintended side effects? General thinking, something has changed, what might it have been.
