Help Weird problem with notifications

OK, I did a factory reset after upgrading to 2.2. I actually thought the backup utility would work, and I wouldn't have to completely restore my phone. I was wrong, but that is not my problem. I cannot get notifications for email, text messages, and phone ringer to stay where I put em. The email ALWAYS defaults to the FU*KING DROID sound, and the phone ringer to something equally obnoxious. I use this phone for business and around other people, and I need it to sound somewhat professional when I get messages. Any ideas how to fix this?

Do you have separate folders for ringtones and notifications?

Weird thing is... now I'm having the exact same problem.

I restarted my phone and my issue seems to be fixed now. Maybe you can try the same, hopefully it works.

I set the tones, and then did a battery pull. So far everything is still like I set it. zhope it stays.
