Help Weird sounds when using headphones / improper operation

Like marctronixx, I've used a number of different headphones but find the set that came with my One give the best results so I'd say you are doing the right thing to get the HTC ones, you can also be confident that they will fit properly.

I've used Sennheiser CX 300 and although I wouldn't say they were flat and tinny the HTC set give a noticeably better sound.

my new HTC supplied headphones have sorted the sound issues out.

I will take the senors back and try and get a refund/replacment.

My phone has today started having an issue I can only describe as strange.

I plugged in my earphones (the ones which came with the phone) and the phone didn't recognise that anything was plugged in.

I then plugged in a different pair, which worked perfectly. I assumed the earphones were broken, but then I plugged this pair into my computer, and they worked.

So, the crux of the issue is that the earphones work, just that the phone now refuses to recognise them but will happily recognise other headphones (the earphones were working fine in the phone yesterday). Does anybody know what may have caused this and how to correct it).
