weird 'sun' icon on weather widget

The only two theories are 1) sunrise time or 2) it's daytime. But that cannot be because 1) it's showing 1 AM or 1 PM neither of which correspond with sunrise or sunset, and 2) it's 11 PM

Nope, no alarm. The icon just appeared today.

Is it showing your gps location or a set location?

I got location disabled, plus if it were on a little 'balloon' icon would show next to the city. It would also place me in 'Panther' (a nearby despite dead town) instead of 'Owensboro'.

It's the AccuWeather.com widget that is preloaded with all TouchWiz devices.

Try turning gps on when you're out of town then, and you'll see that 'sun' is gone. That did the trick on my phone, at least.

I believe that the strange sun-clock is to indicate that Daylight Saving is on.

Then why did it just appear? Also, why doesn't it show on the same widget on the rest of my Samsung devices?
